travel north america united states california yosemite national park 1964 - winter

In the January of 1965, I travelled to Yosemite with a good friend, Gardy Buss, to try some skiing at Badger Pass.
The trip was cut a bit short when I went down on the slopes, my ski flying off and cutting my knee.
I got to experience a speedy sled ride down the slope with the Ski Patrol, a stop at the clinic, and six stiches in my knee.
Although I have skied a few times since then, it's one of the few sports I have never been comfortable with.
